El presente trabajo consta de una revisión bibliográfica acerca del abuso sexual infantil. Se trata la
evolución histórica, los aspectos legales, así como las diferentes barreras que imposibilitan la
comunicación y detección de los abusos. El trauma originado por estos abusos se constituye en base
a dos premisas: la primera consiste en la agresión en sí misma y la segunda, en su representación y
las respuestas del entorno, que terminan de conformar el trauma. Las consecuencias que esto
conlleva son analizadas a través de la unión entre mente y cuerpo. A pesar de los devastadores
efectos del trauma, es posible la reconstrucción de la vida y de un nuevo desarrollo. El entorno
familiar y social posee un papel fundamental en este proceso resiliente, así como un propósito de
vida
The present work consists of a bibliographic review about child sexual abuse. It deals with the historical evolution, the legal aspects, as well as the different barriers that make it impossible to communicate and detect abuses. The trauma originated by these abuses is constituted based on two premises: the first consists of the aggression itself and the second, in its representation and the responses of the environment, which end up shaping the trauma. The consequences that this entails are analyzed through the union between mind and body. Despite the devastating effects of trauma, reconstruction of life and new development are possible. The family and social environment has a fundamental role in this resilient process, as well as a life purpose
