HISTORIA DEL ACORDEÓN Y SU DESARROLLO EN ESPAÑA E HISPANOAMÉRICA

Abstract

El objetivo de este trabajo es realizar un breve recorrido por la historia de un instrumento musical a mi juicio poco reconocido y valorado: el acordeón. Aunque es un instrumento musical relativamente moderno (si lo comparamos con otros), sus ancestros se remontan hasta la Prehistoria, si bien será en el siglo XIX cuando se crean una serie de aparatos musicales tanto de lengüeta libre como de teclas a partir de los cuales se desarrolla el instrumento protagonista del trabajo. En el trabajo se analiza el surgimiento y desarrollo del instrumento en Europa, su llegada a España e Hispanoamérica, los músicos y compositores que le dedicaron atención (incluyendo a las mujeres), así el uso del instrumento en diferentes estilos de música.

The objective of this work is to make a brief tour through the history of a musical instrument that I believe is not well recognized and valued: the accordion. Although it is a relatively modern musical instrument (if we compare it with others), its ancestors go back as far as Prehistory, although it will be in the 19th century when a series of musical instruments are created, both with free reeds and with keys from which the instrument that is the protagonist of this research is developed. The work analyzes the emergence and development of the instrument in Europe, its arrival in Spain and Latin America, the musicians and composers who gave it attention (including women), as well as the use of the instrument in different styles of music.
