Resumen
[ES]El presente estudio tiene que ver con el uso del método “Phonics” en educación
primaria, cuyo propósito es mejorar el proceso de escritura y lectura. Este innovador
método ha sido llevado a cabo en otro países y que ha dado muy buenos resultados.
Este experimento cualitativo consiste en evaluar a un grupo de cuarto de primaria, el
cual ha utilizado este método y un grupo de control que no lo ha utilizado. Los
resultados demuestran que el grupo experimental tiene mejor rendimiento en
pronunciación cuando se enfrenta a nuevos contenidos y vocabulario en una clase
CLIL que el grupo de control, debido a que conocen la relación del sonido y el
grafema.
[EN]This study has to do with the use of “Phonics” as a method in Primary Education, its aim is to improve the writing and reading process. This innovative method has been carried out in other countries and has produced very good results. This qualitative experiment consists of testing a group of fourth graders that has used this method and a control group that has not used it. The findings demonstrate that the experimental group obtains higher results in pronunciation when is faced with new contents and vocabulary in a CLIL class than the control group, due to their familiarity with the sound-grapheme relation.
