Resumen
[ES]El Patrimonio Cultural tiene que ser accesible para toda la sociedad. Se han
experimentado importantes avances para la gestión y difusión de este legado a partir
de la segunda mitad del siglo XX; sin embargo, el proceso no ha sido homogéneo y hay colectivos que merecen una mayor atención como es el de la Discapacidad Intelectual.
El presente trabajo es un recorrido por los principales acontecimientos
históricos sobre la Discapacidad y las personas que han intervenido en la investigación y mejoras en educación y tratamiento para conseguir una sociedad justa. Se abordará la importancia del acercamiento al Patrimonio Cultural a las personas con Discapacidad Intelectual, gracias al análisis sobre las diversas experiencias de intervención en
Proyectos Educativos y espacios inclusivos, que se están llevando a cabo nacional e internacionalmente y que podrían y deberían aplicarse en el ámbito local. Finalmente
se pretende acercar el Patrimonio Giennense a las personas con Discapacidad
Intelectual, a través de la creación de actividades específicas y material didáctico que respondan a sus necesidades educativas y culturales.
[EN]The Cultural Heritage must to be reachable for all the people. There has been some important advances for the management and dissemination of this legacy since the second half of the XX century; however, the process has not been uniform and there are groups that deserve more attention like the Intellectual Disability. The present work is a tour of the major historical events on Disability and the people involved in research and improvements in education and treatment to achieve a just society. I will discuss the importance of the approach to Cultural Heritage for people with Intellectual Disabilities, thanks to the analysis of the diverse experiences of intervention in Educational Projects and inclusive spaces that are being nationally held and internationally and which could and should be applied at the local level. Finally I intend to bring the Heritage Giennense to the people with Intellectual Disabilities, through the creation of specific activities and educational materials that meet their educational and cultural needs.
