NEW TECHNOLOGIES: USING A BLOG TO TEACH ENGLISH IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

[ES] Este Trabajo Fin de Máster tiene como objetivo apostar por el uso de las nuevas tecnologías para la
enseñanza del inglés durante la etapa de Educación Primaria con una propuesta de unidad didáctica. Para ello, se ha desarrollado una revisión de la literatura donde se discute la relación entre las nuevas
tecnologías y la enseñanza del inglés, así como su importancia como recurso educativo para la enseñanza del idioma. Después, se ha concretado la metodología empleada, basada en el enfoque comunicativo, explicitando los diferentes roles del docente y proponiendo el uso del aprendizaje cooperativo como una de las principales estrategias de aprendizaje. Todo ello se ha ejemplificado mediante una unidad didáctica para trabajar con alumnos de sexto curso de Educación Primaria usando un blog de clase en el que participan el profesor y los alumnos, permitiendo así el desarrollo del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje usando un recurso tecnológico.
[EN] This Master’s Dissertation aims to bet on the use of new technologies for the teaching of English during the Primary Education stage through a proposal for a didactic unit. For this, a literature review has been developed in which the relationship between new technologies and the teaching of English is discussed, along with their importance as an educational resource for teaching the language. Next, the methodology used has been specified, which is based on the communicative approach, making explicit the different roles of the teacher, and proposing the use of cooperative learning as one of the main learning strategies. All this has been exemplified through a didactic unit to work with students in the sixth year of Primary Education where they work through a class blog in which the teacher and the students participate, thus allowing the development of the teaching-learning process using a technological resource.
