The concept of Resilience is defined as the property of materials that makes theme resistant to big amount of pressure (physically speaking). In this way, psychology field appropiates this term to refer to individuals that, though having lived traumatic and stressful situations, they are able to pull their self together and get over these situations; being able to experience an inner growth sensation. In these manners, this can be extrapolated to most Alzheimer´s caregivers, a labor that, having great dose of chronic stress, most of the carers come upon positive consequences. Anyway, in this work, despite describing in depth the concepts of resilience and care-giving, it is briefly expound a proposal of a intervention program as a way of managing the negative consequences of the care-giving.
