[ES]Los compuestos fenólicos denominados proantocianidinas (PACs) han sido ampliamente estudiados por sus numerosas actividades biológicas. Recientemente, se está evaluando la actividad inhibidora de LDHA que presentan las PACs como una terapia emergente para la enfermedad rara denominada hiperoxaluria primaria (HOP). En este contexto, el objetivo del presente TFM consiste en identificar y aislar proantocianidinas de un extracto obtenido del fruto de arándano rojo americano (Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait.), así como evaluar in vitro sus potenciales actividades inhibidoras de las isoenzimas LDHA y LDHB.
[EN]Phenolic compounds called proanthocyanidins (PACs) have been extensively studied for their numerous biological activities. Nowadays, the LDHA inhibitory activity of PACs is being evaluated as an emerging therapy for the rare disease called primary hyperoxaluria (PH). In this context, the objective of this work is to indentify and isolate proanthocyanidins from an extract obtained of the american cranberry (Vaccinium macrocarpon Ait.), as well as to evaluate in vitro their potential inhibitory activities of LDHA and LDHB isoenzymes.
