En el presente trabajo de fin de grado (TFG) analizamos la influencia de la Asociación Musical «Santa María la Mayor» en la localidad de Guadahortuna (Granada), centrándonos en su papel educativo y cultural. Para llevar a cabo este estudio de caso, se han aplicado diversos métodos, como entrevistas y cuestionarios a agentes protagonistas de la agrupación y de la localidad, así como la consulta de diversa documentación, con el fin de comprender tanto el entorno de la banda, su finalidad y su relevante papel en la educación musical y la cultura de la localidad de Guadahortuna.
El trabajo concluye con una propuesta didáctica para que el alumnado conozca las funciones que realiza una institución como es la banda de música en su municipio, valore la calidad musical de esta y se anime a formar parte de ella.
This thesis analyses the influence of the Musical Association "Santa María la Mayor" in the town of Guadahortuna, in the province of Granada, focusing on its educational and cultural role. In order to carry out this case study, different methods have been used, such as interviews and questionnaires with actors involved in the group and in the town, as well as the consultation of a variety of documentation, in order to understand both the environment of the band, the purpose it pursues and its relevant role in musical education and culture in the town of Guadahortuna. The work concludes with a didactic proposal so that the students learn about the functions of an institution such as the band in their community, and also so that they appreciate the musical quality of the band and are encouraged to become part of it.
