LA INTERVENCIÓN ASISTIDA CON ANIMALES A PERSONAS CON DISCAPACIDAD. “EVOLUCIONA CABALGANDO”. PROYECTO DE INTERVENCIÓN SOCIAL DE EQUINOTERAPIA PARA PERSONAS CON PARÁLISIS CEREBRAL.

Abstract

El presente Trabajo Fin de Grado, tiene como finalidad investigar, los beneficios físicos, sociales y psicológicos de la intervención asistida con animales a personas con discapacidad. Además, se comprobará la importancia que tiene la figura profesional del Trabajo Social en la Intervención Asistida con Animales, considerando que la creación de ciertas funciones en este tipo de intervenciones combinadas con las propias de nuestra profesión puede dar lugar al nacimiento de un nuevo yacimiento de empleo, que ofrecerá distintas oportunidades, tanto a los/as profesionales del ámbito social como a la población en general que pretenda ser destinataria de esta innovadora terapia. Tras obtener conocimiento sobre los beneficios de la IAA, este Trabajo Fin de Grado tiene como objetivo diseñar y planificar un proyecto de intervención social que combine una metodología basada en la Intervención Asistida con Animales, a través de la equinoterapia y en concreto, focalizada a las personas con parálisis cerebral, a fin de mejorar y promover su calidad de vida

The purpose of this Final Degree Project is to investigate the physical, social and psychological benefits of assisted animal intervention for people with disabilities. In addition, the importance of the professional figure of Social Work in Animal Assisted Intervention will be verified, considering that the creation of certain functions in this type of interventions combined with those of our profession can lead to the birth of a new site of employment, which will offer different opportunities, both to professionals in the social field and to the general population that intends to be the recipient of this innovative therapy. After obtaining knowledge about the benefits of the IAA, this End of Degree Project aims to design and plan a social intervention project that combines a methodology based on Assisted Intervention with Animals, through equine therapy and specifically, focused on people with cerebral palsy, in order to improve and promote their quality of life.
