Datación de pinturas rupestres por el método de las Series de Uranio

Abstract

En este trabajo se ofrece una visión integral del método de datación por Series de Uranio aplicado a pinturas rupestres. Se intenta proporcionar una guía para el investigador, en la que quede reflejada cada fase del análisis: el fundamento teórico del método, su ejecución, los resultados y su interpretación, además del análisis de las fuentes de error del método y la problemática generada en torno a ciertas hipótesis, todo ello apoyado en el estudio de dos dataciones realizadas en la Península Ibérica y el ejemplo de otros casos prácticos en diferentes países.

In this work is shown a comprehensive overview of the uranium-series dating method applied to cave art. It is expected to provide a guide for the researcher, where every stage of the analysis is setted out: the theoretical basis of the method, its execution, the results and its interpretation besides analysing the sources of error of the method and the issue generated by some hypotheses, all of this supported by the examination of two dates carried out on the Iberian Peninsula and the example of other case studies in several countries.
