Resumen
[ES] Este trabajo tiene como objetivo estudiar y analizar cómo se aborda y promueve el desarrollo de la habilidad de
lectura en los libros de texto utilizados para el aprendizaje de lengua inglesa en diferentes etapas de la educación
primaria. Los objetivos de investigación incluyen investigar los tipos de actividades incluidas para desarrollar
habilidades de lectura, explorar variaciones y cambios en estas actividades a lo largo de las etapas educativas,
identificar temas comunes y vocabulario utilizado en las actividades de lectura, analizar los tipos de textos
propuestos, observar la evolución de la longitud de los textos, examinar la integración de las actividades de lectura
con otras habilidades como escuchar, hablar y escribir, y determinar el número promedio de actividades de lectura
en cada libro de texto. Los resultados obtenidos ayudan a una mejor comprensión de los métodos empleados en los
libros de textos de primaria para la enseñanza de la destreza de la lectura.
[EN] This study aims to examine how the development of reading skill is approached and promoted in the English language learning textbooks used at different stages of school in primary education. The research objectives include investigating the types of activities included to develop reading skills, exploring variations and changes in these activities across educational stages, identifying common themes and vocabulary used in reading activities, analysing the types of texts proposed, observing the evolution of text length, examining the integration of reading activities with other skills such as listening, speaking, and writing, and determining the average number of reading activities in each textbook. Results highlight the significance of fully comprehending the methods used to teach reading in primary school English textbooks.
