[EN] Nowadays, Video games are one of the largest economy sectors. Besides, thanks to more realistic interaction techniques, games are able to elicit the feeling of being with a person, which is known as co-presence. In this work, we have developed a client/server application with Connect 4 game The main aim is to analyze the technological needs of the game in terms of network and computer graphics demands. Moreover, this application is developed with the goal of improving the co-presence feeling. This game consists of two scenes. One implements a VE based on a game board, in which players interact by placing 3D checkers in real time. The other scene can show an animated avatar representing the other player or his/her video image. Finally, a study about the system performance is carried out and conclusions are made. The technologies used are: C++ language, OGRE 3D engine, OpenCV image processing library, network socket library.
