Censos de Perdiz Roja en diferentes hábitats

Abstract

[ES]En la provincia de Jaén la intensificación agrícola, la eliminación de la vegetación natural y la pérdida de diversidad de cultivos en las tres últimas décadas han hecho que las poblaciones de perdiz roja (Alectoris rufa) hayan experimentado un importante descenso en sus poblaciones. En este trabajo pretendemos conocer la selección de hábitat y el tamaño poblacional de la perdiz roja en esta zona. Para ello se pusieron en marcha censos en distintos puntos de la geografía de la provincia, intentando abarcar el máximo número de hábitats posible que tradicionalmente ha ocupado la especie. El método empleado fue el de transecto lineal con banda y con los datos recogidos se hicieron estimas de densidad y abundancia. Con la información que nos aportan los resultados obtenidos podemos decir que las perdices seleccionan favorablemente aquellas zonas de olivar con parcelas no muy extensas y que están intercaladas o junto a zonas de matorral, otros cultivos y elementos típicos del paisaje agrícola tradicional, como rastrojos, barbechos y sobre todo y fundamentalmente lindes, que juegan un papel clave. En cuanto a los datos de densidad nos arrojan valores muy bajos en general, donde la presencia de la especie es prácticamente nula en aquellas zonas dominadas por el olivar convencional y con valores más o menos buenos en zonas con una mayor heterogeneidad paisajística.

[EN]In the province of Jaen, the agricultural intensification, the removal of natural vegetation and crop diversity loss in the last three decades they have made stocks red-legged partridges (Alectoris rufa) have experienced a significant decline in their populations. In this paper, we know the habitat selection and population size of red-legged partridge in this area. To this end they set up surveys in different parts of the geography of the province , trying to cover the maximum number of possible habitats that have traditionally occupied the species. The method used was the linear transect band and the collected data were made estimates of density and abundance. With the information you give us the results we can say that the partridges favorably selected those areas of olive groves with not very large plots and are intercalated or together scrubland , other crops and typical elements of the traditional agricultural landscape , as stubble , fallow land and primarily and fundamentally boundaries, playing a key role. As for the density data we show very low values in general, where 3 the presence of the species is virtually zero in areas dominated by the more conventional olive grove and less good values in areas with greater landscape heterogeneity.
