En este trabajo de fin de grado, se analiza la aerodinámica de vehículos pesados, en concreto, la aerodinámica de
vehículos tipo tráiler y autobús, con el objetivo de tratar de mejorarla en la medida de lo posible sin reducir la
funcionalidad de los mismos.
Para ello se han realizado simulaciones numéricas discretizando las ecuaciones fundamentales de la mecánica de fluidos
o de Navier-Stokes en un proceso iterativo y, seguidamente, se realiza la optimización de forma mediante el método
adjunto. Una vez realizadas las modificaciones geométricas, se vuelve a simular numéricamente para obtener los
resultados. Para finalizar, se presentan los resultados obtenidos y se realiza una serie de conclusiones sobre estos, que
han llevado a elegir y definir las mejores modificaciones.
In this final degree work, the aerodynamics of heavy vehicles is analyzed, specifically, the aerodynamics of trailer and bus type vehicles, with the aim of trying to improve it as far as possible without reducing their functionality. For this purpose, numerical simulations have been carried out by discretizing the fundamental equations of fluid mechanics or Navier-Stokes in an iterative process and, then, the shape optimization is carried out by means of the attached method. Once the geometrical modifications have been carried out, it is simulated numerically again to obtain the results. Finally, the results obtained are presented and a series of conclusions are drawn about them, which have led to choose and define the best modifications.
