CLIL APPLIED TO THE TEACHING OF NATURAL SCIENCE: A DIDACTIC UNIT PROPOSAL IN PRIMARY EDUCATION

[ES]Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster describe la elaboración de una Unidad Didáctica para el 6o curso de
Educación Primaria en la comunidad autónoma de Andalucía, siguiendo el enfoque AICLE. Se divide en
dos secciones: el marco teórico y la creación de una programación didáctica AICLE. La primera sección
aborda aspectos generales de AICLE, tales como el concepto, su caracterización, su origen y varios
beneficios e inconvenientes. A continuación, se realiza una revisión de la legislación en España y en
Andalucía sobre AICLE en Educación Primaria. Por último, se detallan los principios y pasos para la
planificación, diseño e implementación de las programaciones didácticas AICLE, asegurando una variedad
de metodologías, métodos, técnicas y estrategias para incorporar una enseñanza y un aprendizaje
exitosos a través de AICLE. A continuación, la segunda sección presenta la Unidad Didáctica. Se centra en
el tema de las Ciencias Naturales, concretamente, en cómo funcionan los cuatro sistemas de nutrición del
cuerpo humano. Finalmente, en la conclusión se destacan las principales características, las dificultades a
superar con AICLE y la elaboración de Unidades Didácticas, resumiendo los principales aspectos tratados
en este Trabajo de Fin de Máster.
[EN]This MA Dissertation describes an elaboration of a Didactic Unit for 6 th grade of Primary Education in the Andalusian autonomous community following the CLIL approach. It is divided into two sections: the theoretical backdrop and the creation of a CLIL lesson plan. The first section addresses general aspects of CLIL, such as the concept, its characterisation, its origins and several benefits and drawbacks. Next, a review is conducted of the legislation in Spain and Andalusia about CLIL in Primary Education. Lastly, principles and steps are detailed for the planning, design and implementation of CLIL lessons, assuring a variety of methodologies, methods, techniques and strategies to incorporate successful teaching and learning through CLIL. The second section then presents the Didactic Unit. It focuses on the subject of Natural Science, concretely on how the four human body systems of nutrition function. Finally, in the conclusion, the main characteristics, the difficulties to overcome with CLIL and the elaboration of Didactic Units are highlighted, summarising the chief aspects touched upon in this MA Dissertation.
