Resumen
[ES]En esta memoria se describe el estudio de los metabolitos del ibuprofeno presentes
en la orina humana tras su administración oral. La orina recogida se procesó
mediante extracción en fase sólida y a continuación se analizó empleando una
metodología basada en cromatografía de líquidos acoplada a espectrometría de
masas con analizador de tiempo de vuelo (LC-TOFMS) equipado con una interfase
de electrospray (ESI) operando en modo negativo. La estrategia empleada para la
identificación de los metabolitos se basó en la determinación de la masa exacta de
los compuestos y en el estudio de los fragmentos característicos de cada uno de
ellos a partir de experimentos de fragmentación mediante disociación inducida por
colisión (CID). El método descrito permitió la identificación de un total de 22
metabolitos del ibuprofeno, los cuales son resultado de diferentes modificaciones,

Urine collected was processed with solidphase extraction, and then samples were analyzed using liquid chromatography time-of-fly mass spectrometry (LC-TOFMS) equipped with an electrospray interface (ESI) operating in negative ion mode. The strategy applied for the identification of metabolites was based on the exact mass determinations and on the studies of fragmentation patterns of each compound by experiments from in-source collision induced dissociation (CID) fragmentation. Using the proposed methodology a total of 22 metabolites of ibuprofen were identified as a result of different modifications.
