(ES)El objetivo principal de este estudio es evaluar, mediante encuesta, la percepción que las personas mayores
tienen sobre los sistemas de reconocimiento de actividad basado en sensores, por una parte, y la percepción
de los familiares, por otra. Se ha utilizado una muestra formada por 40 personas anónimas, 20 personas
mayores y 20 personas jóvenes. Los resultados fueron: a) En cuanto a la aceptabilidad, los dos grupos
aceptarían instalar un sistema de sensores; b) los dos grupos opinan que los sistemas le podrían
proporcionar tranquilidad y seguridad; c) confían en que los sistemas ayudarían ante una emergencia y
favorecerían la rapidez de respuesta; d) los dos grupos perciben que estos sistemas solo respetarían la
privacidad moderadamente; e) no le importaría que la información recogida por los sensores se utilizara
con fines médicos y de investigación; f) mejoraría su autonomía personal bastante; g) el apoyo social y la
soledad mejoraría moderadamente.
(EN)The main objective of this study is to evaluate, through a survey, the perception that older people have about sensor-based activity recognition systems, on the one hand, and the perception of family members, on the other. A sample consisting of 40 anonymous people, 20 older people and 20 young people, has been used. The results were: a) Regarding acceptability, both groups would accept installing a sensor system; b) both groups believe that the systems could provide peace of mind and security; c) they would trust that the systems would help in an emergency and favor rapid response; d) both groups perceive that these systems would only respect privacy moderately; e) would not mind if the information collected by the sensors was used for medical and research purposes; f) it would greatly improve your personal autonomy; g) social support and loneliness would improve moderately.
