This final degree project investigates the relationship between substance consumption and juvenile delinquency in Spain, considering both the factors that influence this correlation and the implications for social intervention. The study examines several theories and previous studies that have identified common factors underlying these phenomena. Sociocultural, economic and family variables stand out. The research highlights the importance of the role of social workers in the prevention and rehabilitation of affected young people. The need to develop effective intervention programs that address both causes and consequences is emphasized. These programs must be adapted to the specific needs of the youth population and include early prevention strategies, educational support and skills development. This analysis concludes to reduce the incidence of social problems, implementing a comprehensive and coordinated approach that combines social intervention, education and community awareness
