(EN)The present work attempts to justify the suitability of Physical Education from its essential elements in a CLIL methodology in the Chilean national context. Regarding the same, it will be analyzed the challenges that CLIL in PE has been representing according to the current available literature, promoting these double processes of deconstruction and reconstruction of the practices and beliefs in PE from the subject-teacher. In addition, this dissertation will introduce a proposal that lists the main points to consider when designing and implementing a CLIL program in PE. Additionally, this teaching method is justified as a contribution to educational innovation in terms of potentially enriching the linguistic literacy of Chilean society, as well as an innovation in the teaching-learning process according to the skills of the 21st century and the current educational context in a largely monolingual nation.
