Attention to diversity in CLIL: A didactic proposal for Primary Education

Abstract

[ES]Este Trabajo de Fin de Máster tiene el propósito de arrojar luz sobre un tema candente de la enseñanza bilingüe: la atención a la diversidad en el Aprendizaje Integrado de Contenidos y Lenguas Extranjeras (AICLE). Actualmente, se requiere el diseño de entornos de aprendizaje estimulantes y ricos en el aula. Independientemente de las características personales, el alumnado debe recibir la suficiente atención para sacar el máximo provecho del aprendizaje a través de la educación individualizada. Nuestro principal objetivo es mostrar AICLE como un programa innovador que se adapta altamente a las necesidades y los intereses del discente. Primero se realiza una revisión teórica sobre la citada metodología y la atención a la diversidad. En segundo lugar, presentamos un proyecto AICLE para atender a la diversidad en Educación Primaria. Finalmente, se han extraído algunas conclusiones en relación a las fortalezas y posibles mejoras del mismo.

[EN]he aim of this master’s dissertation is to shed light on a burning issue in the current bilingual teaching scenario, namely, attention to diversity in Content and Learning Integrated Learning (CLIL). Nowadays, schools are calling for the design of a stimulating and enriching learning environment in the classroom. Irrespective of their personal characteristics, students must receive sufficient attention to get the most of their learning through individualised education. Our main goal is to show CLIL as a ground-breaking programme which highly adapts to all children’s necessities and interests. In order to do so, this work initially presents a theoretical review of the aforementioned methodology, as well as attention to diversity. Secondly, the proposal then presents a practical CLIL project to attend diversity in Primary Education. Finally, some conclusions have been drawn as regards our project’s strengths and possible improvements.
