SEXISM IN WORKPLACES, LITERATURE, MEDIA AND FILMS AND THE EFFECTS ON EDUCATION

Abstract

[ES] En este proyecto final de máster se trata el tema del sexismo en el trabajo, en la literatura, en los medios de comunicación y en las películas y los efectos que esto tiene en la educación desde diferentes perspectivas y teniendo en cuenta algunos aspectos en particular de los campos mencionados. La igualdad de género es un tema transversal en la educación española, sin embargo, este tema no se trata directamente. Conocer este tema así como las desigualdades que sufre una gran parte de la población y sus dramáticas consecuencias debe ser un objetivo para reducir la brecha entre mujeres y hombres.

[EN] In this Master’s Final Project we address the issue of Sexism in Workplaces, Literature, Media and Films and the Effects on Education from different perspectives and taking into account some particular aspects inside the mentioned fields. Equality between genders is a cross curricular topic in the Spanish Education, however, this topic is not addressed directly. The knowledge of this topic, of the inequalities that a big part of the population suffers and the dramatic consequences underlying this issue must be learnt by the students in order to reduce the big gap between women and men.
