Resumen
[ES]Año tras año, aumenta el número de personas mayores que sienten soledad. El objetivo del presente
análisis bibliométrico es mostrar y analizar, a partir de los indicadores bibliométricos seleccionados, la
producción científica sobre la soledad en personas mayores. Se han consultado fuentes primarias de gran
influencia, como son Web of Science (WOS), Scopus, Dialnet Plus y ProQuest PsycINFO, de las cuales se
han recuperado 586 artículos publicados en revistas científicas a lo largo de 40 años, desde 1980 hasta
2020. Según se ha analizado, la soledad se aborda desde distintos ámbitos, como son el de la
gerontología, la geriatría, la salud, el ámbito social y la psicología. La frecuencia de las publicaciones
aumenta de forma progresiva a partir del año 2005, siendo Reino Unido el país que congrega el mayor
número.
