Resumen
[ES]La educación emocional es una parte fundamental en la formación integral de la personalidad, especialmente necesaria en el caso de las personas con síndrome de Down. Partiendo de un análisis exhaustivo de las características físicas y psicológicas de estas personas, así como de la evolución de su desarrollo, en este trabajo se presenta un programa de intervención en educación emocional para niños y niñas con síndrome de Down. Este programa está diseñado para ser puesto en práctica en el segundo ciclo de la Educación Infantil y para ser desarrollado durante un curso escolar. Para ello, se proponen una serie de actividades, tanto individuales como grupales, divididas en cinco bloques de actuación, los cuales son conciencia emocional, regulación emocional, autoestima, habilidades socio-emocionales y habilidades de vida. La metodología que utiliza el programa está en consonancia con los principios de aprendizaje que proponen las corrientes pedagógicas constructivistas, siendo conveniente la colaboración de las familias para obtener mejores resultados. Una vez finalizado el programa se evaluará su eficacia y la evolución de los niños y niñas que en él han participado.
[EN]Emotional education is a fundamental part in the integral formation of personality and particularly important in the case of people with Down syndrome. Based on a thorough analysis of the physical and psychological characteristics of this group, as well as the evolution of their development, this paper presents a program of intervention in the emotional education for children with Down syndrome. This program is designed to be implemented in the second cycle of Early Childhood Education and to be implemented during a school year. With this end, a series of activities is proposed, both for individuals and groups, and divided into five blocks of action, which are emotional awareness, emotional regulation, self-esteem, socio-emotional skills and life skills. The methodology employed by the program is in line with the principles of learning proposed by constructivist pedagogical trends, the collaboration of families playing a key pact in achieving better results. Once the program is completed, its effectiveness and the development of the children who have participated in it will be evaluated.
