[EN] Cognitive Stimulation Therapy is a psychosocial intervention aimed at people with dementia. It offers a variety of stimulating activities to the cognitive and social functioning of the person. This study aimed to analyze the efficacy of this therapy in improving cognitive functioning in older people with dementia. A systematic review with meta-analysis of Randomized Clinical Trials was carried out. The methodological quality was assessed using the Cochrane risk of bias analysis tool in RCTs and the combined effect was estimated with the standardized difference of means and its 95% Confidence Interval. 10 RCTs were included. The differences found between the experimental group and the control group were not statistically significant: the SD = 0.36 and its CI (95% CI: - 0.03, 0.76). The result was not conclusive, therefore, it is recommended to increase the research of this theme to obtain more evidence.
