El autoconcepto de los adolescentes y su relación con las redes sociales, el bienestar subjetivo y la actividad física.

Resumen
El objetivo del estudio fue describir los valores medios de 159 adolescentes en cuanto al autoconcepto y
sus dimensiones, redes sociales, actividad física, bienestar subjetivo; y analizar la asociación entre el
autoconcepto y sus dimensiones con las variables citadas, además del sexo, edad, número y posición
entre hermanos. Los resultados mostraron que los adolescentes presentan un autoconcepto y bienestar
subjetivo aceptable, la mayoría son usuarios de redes sociales, dedican varias horas a estos medios, no
suelen publicar fotografías y son físicamente activos; y que el autoconcepto y sus dimensiones se
relacionan positivamente con el bienestar subjetivo; con la edad, en cuanto al autoconcepto emocional;
con la actividad física vigorosa en lo referente al autoconcepto físico y total; y negativamente con el
género femenino, en lo que respecta al autoconcepto emocional; y con las redes sociales, a excepción de
la dimensión social y física, que se ven favorecidas por estos medios.
The aim of the study was to describe the mean values of 159 adolescents in terms of self-concept and its dimensions, social networks, physical activity, subjective well-being; and to analyze the association between self-concept and its dimensions with the aforementioned variables, in addition to sex, age, number and position among siblings. The results showed that adolescents present an acceptable self- concept and subjective well-being, most of them are users of social networks, spend several hours on these media, do not usually post photographs and are physically active; and that self-concept and its dimensions are positively related to subjective well-being; with age, in terms of emotional self-concept; with vigorous physical activity in terms of physical and total self-concept; and negatively with female gender, in terms of emotional self-concept; and with social networks, with the exception of the social and physical dimensions, which are favored by these media.
