The purpose of this bibliographical review is to carry out the Final Degree Project in Social Work. The main objective is to investigate the current situation of prostitution in Spain, with a broad and clear vision of the subject. Likewise, the aim is to show the work, fundamental in any case, of Social Work in the field of prostitution and its abolition, tackling this complex social reality from multiple approaches. Beyond immediate assistance, social workers develop long-term plans to help people leave prostitution and reintegrate safely and with dignity into society. In addition, an important part of their tasks is the prevention of human trafficking, which is strongly linked to prostitution. Through information campaigns, training and prevention measures, social workers can reduce the need for prostitution and consequently reduce the incentive for trafficking. The recovery and relocation of victims of exploitation is of similar relevance. This means not only redirecting people away from prostitution, but also providing them with the tools and support necessary to rebuild their lives. Social workers provide the counseling, emotional support, job training and education that are essential for successful reintegration. They also work to change the way society perceives and relates to them, fighting discrimination and promoting integration. In addition, social workers advocate for policies and laws that protect vulnerable people and eliminate sexual exploitation, including work to punish traffickers and pimps
