(EN) This study aims to examine the influence of viewing dogs while interacting friendly with their owners on dogs’ social perception. We design a study in which 300 participants will be randomly distributed into four groups; two experimental groups, in which participants will view dogs while showing prosocial behaviors, and two control groups, in which participants will view control videos (still dogs). Within both conditions, a group will view friendly breeds and, the other, low friendly breeds. Before and after viewing videos, participants will assess dogs in social perception characteristics. We expect a pre-post improvement in those scales for experimental groups (i.e., after viewing dogs interacting); this enhancement will be greater for the group viewing low friendly breeds. If results are in this line, this study will provide information associated with the relevance of observing the prosocial behaviors of stigmatized dogs to change their social perceptions.
