ACTUACIÓN DE LA CRUZ ROJA EN CONFLICTOS ARMADOS Y EL DERECHO INTERNACIONAL HUMANITARIOS

Abstract

La violencia siempre ha estado presente como forma de solventar diferentes controversias; discriminación, desigualdad social. Pero con el paso del tiempo, se ha conseguido restringir la crueldad de las hostilidades, mediante la creación del Derecho Internacional Humanitario y del primer Convenio de Ginebra que tuvo lugar en el año 1864 y, que dio lugar a la creación del Comité Internacional de la Cruz Roja; una organización humanitaria. Estas leyes establecieron límites en cuanto a la forma de luchar, de proteger a las personas que no participan o han decidido dejar de participar en dichas guerras, al personal sanitario y a los bienes que sean esenciales para la supervivencia, tienen derecho a ser auxiliados independiente de su raza, nacionalidad o religión. La organización de la Cruz Roja y Media Luna Roja no solo está presente en las grandes catástrofes, sino que también se posiciona a favor de las personas más vulnerables.

The violence always has been present as way of settling different controversies; discrimination, social inequality. But with over the years, one has managed to restrict the cruelty of the hostilities, by means of the creation of the Humanitarian International Law and of the first Agreement of Geneva that took place in 1864 and, that cause place to the creation of the International Committee of the Red Cross; a humanitarian organization. Laws established limits of the way of fighting, protecting people who do not take part or have decided to stop taking part in the above mentioned wars, the sanitary personnel and the goods that are essential for the survival, they have right to be helped independently from his differences. Organizations of the Red Cross and of the Red Half Moon not only are present in the serious catastrophes, but also she is positioned in assistance of the most vulnerable people.
