[ES]La actual coyuntura de crisis sanitaria ha supuesto un gran desafío para toda la humanidad, incrementando la
desigualdad y exclusión. Se presenta un estudio sobre el impacto de la COVID-19 en las personas con discapacidad
intelectual o del desarrollo y sus familiares, abordándose así cuestiones vinculadas con la conciliación laboral, la gestión
de los cuidados, y las opiniones sobre las medidas implantadas y sentimientos generados, entre otras. Para ello se ha
hecho uso de una metodología cualitativa a través de una serie de entrevistas en profundidad realizadas a familiares de
personas con discapacidad intelectual o del desarrollo de Huelma. Los resultados confirman la vulnerabilidad del
colectivo en situaciones de crisis, teniendo grandes repercusiones en los diferentes ámbitos de la vida diaria y
poniendo de manifiesto la necesidad de medidas que garanticen sus derechos.
[EN]The current situation of the health crisis has meant a great challenge for all of humanity, increasing inequality and exclusion. A study is presented on the impact of COVID-19 on person with an intellectual or developmental disability and their relatives, this addresses issues related to work-life balance, care management, opinions on measures implemented and feelings generated, among others. To accomplish this study, a qualitative methodology has been used through a several of in-depth interviews conducted with relatives’ person with intellectual or developmental disability in Huelma (Jaén). The results confirm the vulnerability of the collective in crisis situations, having a great impact on the different areas of daily life and highlighting the need for measures to guarantee their rights.
