El Cine Zombie: Evolución del género y su proyección artística.

Abstract

El zombie pasó del folclore haitiano al cine directamente. A lo largo de sus casi 90 años de historia cinematográfica el zombi ha cambiado radicalmente desde sus orígenes, creando en nosotros un imaginario. En la Edad Media, reflejaran la muerte con las Danzas Macabras, los Triunfos de la Muerte y las Vanitas. El arquetipo del zombi refleja esos sentimientos hacia la muerte y reflejándolas en la industria del cine. Toda la filmografía relativa al zombi ha tenido su reflejo en numerosos artistas actuales que crean obras relejando esa lúgubre y mortecina figura, transformando lo bello o infantil en algo monstruoso, trasladándonos a mundos apocalípticos, pero siempre interesándonos y encandilándonos con su bella fealdad.

The zombie went from Haitian folklore to the movies directly. Throughout its almost 90 years of cinematic history the zombie has changed radically from its origins, creating in us an imaginary. In the Middle Ages, they will reflect death with the Macabre Dances, the Triumphs of Death and the Vitas. The zombie archetype reflects those feelings towards death and reflects them in the film industry. All the films related to the zombie have been reflected in numerous current artists who create works relegating that lugubrious and dying figure, transforming the beautiful or childlike into something monstrous, moving us to apocalyptic worlds, but always interested and dazzling us with its beautiful ugliness.
