The objective of the study was to analyze the detection and tolerance of women engineers towards covert workplace incivility. It is a quasi-experimental study in which the gender of the victim who suffered this behavior was manipulated, therefore, in one of the cases the victim was a man, and in the other it was a woman. Twenty-nine female engineers participated, because it was conducted in a STEM context, i.e., an interdisciplinary context based on the applicability of knowledge of science and mathematics. The results obtained were that the participants detect and do not tolerate workplace incivility, regardless of the gender of the victim. Women, in a masculinized context such as engineering, have a high probability of suffering this type of behavior, due to the fact that they do not usually occupy high positions or leadership positions.
