Evaluación de las actitudes pro-ambientales del alumnado de la universidad de Jaén

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo que se persigue en este estudio es evaluar las actitudes pro-ambientales del alumnado de la Universidad de Jaén y compararlo a su vez con los resultados obtenidos en 1995 en un estudio realizado en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Se utilizó el mismo cuestionario del trabajo mencionado “Escala para la evaluación de las actitudes pro-ambientales (EAPA) de alumnos universitarios”. El alumnado fue sometido a este cuestionario de Escala tipo Likert (desde << muy de acuerdo>> a <<muy en desacuerdo>>) que recogía cincuenta ítems relacionados con el medio ambiente. La muestra está constituida por 281 alumnos de los grados de Biología, Enfermería y Educación Primaria y del Máster de Ingeniería Industrial. Los resultados pusieron de manifiesto el descenso de las actitudes pro-ambientales del alumnado con respecto a los obtenidos veinte años atrás. Asimismo, se destaca la alta indiferencia del alumnado hacia el medio ambiente y por tanto la necesidad de introducir la Educación Ambiental a su justa medida en la formación universitaria

[EN] The objective pursued in this study is to evaluate the pro-environmental attitudes by students from the University of Jaen and compare it to the results obtained in 1995 in a similar study developed in the University Complutense. The follows the items introduced in the mentioned work "Scale (questioner) for the evaluation of proenvironmental attitudes (EAPA) of university students" was used. The students underwent this questionnaire Likert scale (from << strongly agree >> to << strongly disagree >>) which contained fifty items related to the environment. The sample consists of 281 students in Biology, Nursing and Elementary Education degrees and in the master of industrial engineering. The results showed the decline in proenvironmental attitudes of University of Jaén students comparing with those obtained twenty years ago. It is remarkable the high level of indifference towards the environment of the University of Jaén's students. Therefore environmental education plans are needed in all university education levels.
