[EN]The current work deals, for the first time, the study of the community of benthonic macroinvertebrates occurring in the Natural Reserve of Laguna Honda, a hypersaline endorheic pond located in the Guadalquivir catchment (Alcaudete, Jaén). At the same time, it has been searched the relationship between this community and the habitat heterogeneity, designing an index based on a McGoff and Irvine (2009) survey. It was carried out a punctual semiquantitative sampling in April 2016. As result of it, 16 types of benthic macroinvertebrates were found. Diversity, estimated with the Shannon’s Index, is not very high, such as it is expected in a so stressing and unpredictable system as Laguna Honda. Several multivariante analyses provide insight about the relationship between these organisms and the physical, abiotic and biotic variables of the studied system.
