Violencia filio-parental: Revisión sistemática de variables individuales.

Abstract

La violencia filio-parental (VFP) es una problemática compleja que ha sido poco estudiada anteriormente. Sin embargo, ha ido ganando relevancia social durante los últimos años. Distintas investigaciones han puesto de manifiesto la existencia de unas características y patrones concretos que la diferencian de otros tipos de violencia. Es por ello que el objetivo del presente trabajo ha sido realizar una revisión sistemática sobre distintas variables individuales que caracterizan al perfil del menor que ejerce maltrato hacia sus padres: inteligencia emocional, cognición social y psicopatología. Para ello, en primer lugar, tiene lugar una revisión bibliográfica sobre el propio concepto de VFP y sus tipos, así como datos de prevalencia y principales teorías que la explican.

Child-to-parent violence (CPV) is a complex problem which has been gaining social relevance during the last years. There are many studies which have revealed that this phenomenon has its own characteristics and patterns that make it different from other types of violence. That is why the objective of this research is to perform a systematic review of several variables that characterize the profile of the child who abuses his parents: emotional intelligence, social cognition and psychopathology. First of all, a bibliographic review has been carried out on the concept of VFP and its types, as well as prevalence data and main theories that could explain it.
