“LA RELACIÓN ENTRE ANSIEDAD MATEMÁTICA Y ELECCIÓN DE BACHILLER Y CARRERA PROFESIONAL”

Abstract

Se ha visto a través de diferentes investigaciones que la ansiedad matemática tiene efectos a nivel fisiológico, cognitivo, y estructural. En el ámbito académico las matemáticas han cobrado gran relevancia desde el componente afectivo, ya que este se encuentra alterado en estos casos y este tiene repercusiones en el aprendizaje. Además como consecuencia del impacto de la ansiedad de esta materia en dicho componente se ha observado que los sujetos tienden a tener creencias y pensamientos negativos a cerca de las matemáticas, lo cual les lleva a la experimentación de sensaciones y sentimientos como estrés, miedo o preocupación a la hora de enfrentarse a tareas aritméticas o situaciones relacionadas con esta asignatura, por lo que todo esto les puede condicionar en su futuro a nivel académico y profesional, a la hora de elegir la modalidad de Bachillerato y carrera profesional.

It has been seen through different investigations that mathematical anxiety has effects at the physiological, cognitive, and structural levels. In the academic field, mathematics has gained great relevance from the affective component, since it is altered in these cases and this has repercussions on learning. Furthermore, as a consequence of the impact of the anxiety of this matter in said component, it has been observed that the subjects tend to have negative beliefs and thoughts about mathematics, which leads them to experience sensations and feelings such as stress, fear or worry, when facing arithmetic tasks or situations related to this subject, so all this can condition them in their future at the academic and professional level, when choosing the modality of Baccalaureate and professional career.
