Metaphors, paradoxes and experiential exercises were used with the objective that the patient directs his life towards his personal values and related, from the acceptance, with his private events. The results show great psychological flexibility, actions oriented towards a meaningful life, the reduction of symptoms of anxiety and depression, and greater acceptance without judgment. These results make us conclude that Acceptance and Commitment Therapy is effective in cases of psychological reexperience, avoidance and anxiety after exposure to traumatic events.
