Arte Egipcio en España

Abstract

[ES]La atracción que el arte egipcio ha ejercido en el hombre a través de los tiempos, se vio incrementada a partir del siglo XVIII, cuando se comenzaron a reunir las primeras colecciones. En España, el interés de dicha cultura, tuvo como resultado el afán de reunir una serie de piezas por parte de determinados personajes que, finalmente, contribuyeron con sus colecciones a la creación en unos casos, y de incremento en otros, de algunos museos, entre los que destaca el Museo Arqueológico Nacional y el Museu Egipci de Cataluña. Este trabajo se va a detener en las piezas más representativas expuestas en dichas instituciones, destacando su procedencia y su valor artísticos, sin olvidar el Templo de Debod, único ejemplo arquitectónico egipcio conservado en España.

[EN]The attraction that Egyptian art has made on the man through the ages has increased since the eighteenth century when it began to get the first collections. In Spain, the interest of this culture, resulted in the desire to get together a number of pieces by certain people that, finally, they contributed with their collections to create and to increase some museums, for example the Museo Arqueológico Nacional and the Museu Egipci of Cataluña. This paper is going to work with the most representative pieces exhibited in such institutions, highlighting their origin and artistic value, and we must not forget the Temple of Debod, because it is the only Egyptian architectural example that is preserved in Spain.
