Moluscos gasterópodos del género Iberus: análisis bibliográfico y estudio de especies en la provincia de Jaén.

Abstract

[ES]Este estudio se enfocó en realizar un estudio taxonómico y bibliográfico del género Iberus en la provincia de Jaén, obteniendo resultados significativos sobre la diversidad y distribución de las especies en la región. Se registraron un total de 323 citas de Iberus en la península ibérica, de las cuales 40 se encontraron en Jaén. Se identificaron cinco especies en la provincia, siendo I. gualtieranus la más frecuente, presente en varias localidades. I. alonensis predominó en Valdepeñas de Jaén y el parque de Santa Catalina, mientras que I. alcarazanus fue más común en Alcalá la Real, Campillo de Arenas, Fuensanta de Martos, Valdepeñas de Jaén y Alcaudete. I. angustatus fue predominante en Sierra Segura, Bedmar y Garcíez, Jaén y Martos. Se observaron híbridos en áreas de contacto entre especies, como I. gualtieranus x I. angustatus y I. alonensis x I. angustatus. Los análisis moleculares revelaron la relación filogenética del género Iberus con los géneros Allognathus y Cepaea. Este estudio aporta información valiosa para la conservación y manejo de las especies endémicas de Iberus en Jaén, resaltando la necesidad de más investigaciones en esta área para comprender mejor su evolución y relaciones filogenéticas.

[EN]This study focused on conducting a taxonomic and bibliographic study of the genus Iberus in the province of Jaén, obtaining significant results regarding the diversity and distribution of species in the region. A total of 323 Iberus records were recorded in the Iberian Peninsula, with 40 of them found in Jaén. Five species were identified in the province, with I. gualtieranus being the most frequent, found in various locations. I. alonensis predominated in Valdepeñas de Jaén and Santa Catalina Park, while I. alcarazanus was more common in Alcalá la Real, Campillo de Arenas, Fuensanta de Martos, Valdepeñas de Jaén, and Alcaudete. I. angustatus was predominant in Sierra Segura, Bedmar, Garcíez, Jaén, and Martos. Hybrids were observed in contact areas between species, such as I. gualtieranus x I. angustatus and I. alonensis x I. angustatus. Molecular analyses revealed the phylogenetic relationship between the genus Iberus and the genera Allognathus and Cepaea. This study provides valuable information for the conservation and management of endemic Iberus species in Jaén, highlighting the need for further research in this area to better understand their evolution and phylogenetic relationships.
