Revisión de la literatura: eficacia del yoga para la reducción del estrés en cuidadores de pacientes con Alzheimer

Resumen
Objetivo: actualizar el conocimiento acerca de la eficacia del yoga para la disminución del estrés en cuidadores
informales de pacientes con Alzheimer.
Métodos: se realizó una revision de estudios controlados aleatorizados. Se buscó en una serie de bases de
datos, a través de términos MESH, DeCS y sinónimos. Elegimos ECAs prospectivos con fecha de publicación de
los últimos 10 años, después de pasar los criterios de elegibilidad y ser evaluados por el instrumento de
valoración de calidad CASPe.
Resultados: se analizaron 3 estudios. Después de tratar los artículos se puede ver que hay mejoras
significativas entre realizar una intervención con terapia de yoga u otra de control.
Conclusiones: tras la revisión de los resultados, la terapia con yoga es efectiva para reducir el estrés. No
obstante, es importante seguir haciendo más ensayos primarios que contengan dicha información para poder
aplicarla en la práctica clínica de los profesionales.

Conclusions: after reviewing the results, yoga therapy is effective in reducing stress. However, it is important to continue doing more primary trials that contain this information in order to apply it in the clinical practice of professionals.
