NEMATODOS ASOCIADOS A EXCREMENTOS DE MUERCIÉLAGO EN CUEVAS DE LA PROVINCIA DE JAÉN.

Abstract

Los nematodos son uno de los taxones más diversos que existen. Su cualidad cosmopolita orienta el presente trabajo hacia las cavernas donde el guano de murciélago es su soporte de vida. El estudio de la nematofauna en las tan poco exploradas cuevas interesa desde el punto de vista de la biodiversidad, así como por la estrecha vinculación de algunas especies con el desarrollo de dermopatologías humanas. Se analizan muestras procedentes de cinco cuevas de la provincia de Jaén, con vistas a profundizar en el conocimiento de la nematofauna troglófila. Aparecen ocho especies pertenecientes a los órdenes Dorylaimida, Plectida y Rhabditida. Como resultados interesantes, la predominancia de la especie saprófita Pelodera strongyloides, la diversidad de la cueva de Poyo Manquillo y la desproporcionada estructura de sexos. La abundancia de especies omnívoras/depredadoras y la ausencia de fitoparásitas como conclusiones finales son también cuestiones discutidas en el presente trabajo.

Nematodes are one of the most diverse taxa that exist. Its cosmopolitan quality guides the present work towards the caves where the bat guano is its life support. The study of the nematofauna in the so little explored caves is interesting from the point of view of biodiversity, as well as the close connection of some species with the development of human dermopathologies. Samples from five caves in the province of Jaén are analyzed, with a view to deepening the knowledge of troglophila nematofauna. Eight species belonging to the orders Dorylaimida, Plectida and Rhabditida appear. As interesting results, the predominance of the saprophytic species Pelodera strongyloides, the diversity of the Poyo Manquillo cave and the disproportionate sex structure. As final conclusions, the abundance of omnivorous/predatory species and the absence of phytoparasites are also issues discussed in the present work.
