obtenidos.
The present study describes the psychometric properties of the Family Health Climate Scale (FHSC) (specifically the one related to physical activity) in a Spanish sample. On the other hand, it aims to relate the CSF with the motives for physical activity (PA) as a function of gender. A total of 73 families (of three members) completed a questionnaire. The families consisted of the father, the mother and the son or daughter (age 12-24 years in the case of the son or daughter). As for the analyses, a two-step analysis was carried out: analysis of the measurement model and analysis of the structural model in which the CSF-AF affects the motives for performing PA. Although the initial fit of the measurement model for men was not adequate, after making changes from the modification indices, acceptable fit values are obtained. The fit of the measurement model for women was adequate. As for the structural relationships, both for men and women, positive and significant relationships were obtained between CSF-AF and the motives for performing PA. The results obtained are discussed.
