Propuesta de intervención para la reducción de la sintomatología de burnout en cuidadores informales de personas en situación de dependencia debido al desarrollo de sintomatología neurodegenerativa

Resumen
(ES)El estrés es un problema que afecta cada vez a un porcentaje mayor de la población y, cuando se cronifica,
puede desembocar en lo que a día de hoy conocemos como síndrome de burnout, el cual afecta
especialmente a la población relacionada con el ámbito sanitario. En el presente documento se expone una
propuesta de intervención, de 8 semanas de duración, basada en el programa MBSR de Kabat-Zinn y cuyo
objetivo es reducir los niveles de burnout en una población ciertamente olvidada: los cuidadores informales,
más concretamente, aquellos a cargo de adultos mayores con sintomatología neurodegenerativa. Con las
actividades que se proponen se espera mejorar la calidad de vida de aquellas personas involucradas en una
labor que cada día va tomando una mayor importancia, debido al creciente envejecimiento poblacional en
sociedades del primer mundo

This document presents an 8-week intervention proposal based on Kabat- Zinn's MBSR program, aimed at reducing burnout levels in a population that is often overlooked: informal caregivers, specifically those responsible for older adults with neurodegenerative symptoms. Through the proposed activities, the goal is to improve the quality of life for those involved in a task that is becoming increasingly important every day, due to the growing aging population in first-world societies
