Cuarenta años de “Performance” en España

Abstract

La performance es un movimiento artístico que nace en la década de los 60, se caracteriza por ser arte vivo donde el artista utiliza su cuerpo para realizar la obra de arte y hace partícipes a los espectadores. Dotado de una intención crítica y reflexiva sobre el concepto mismo de “arte”, no puede abstraerse del intelectualismo que recorre todo movimiento de vanguardia del siglo XX. Sus precedentes son el dadaísmo y el arte conceptual los cuales rompen con el concepto de arte tradicional, esto hace posible que se abran los límites del ámbito artístico y nazca así la performance.

The performance is a movement artistic it is born in 60´s. It´s living art where the artist use his body for to made art and in his work the spectators have to take part. It have intention critic and reflective about “art”, it can´t remove to the intellectualism of movement of the century XX. Their precedents are dadaismo and conceptual art, these break with the concept art traditional. This make it posible that open the mind at an artistic level and create the performance.
