Dificultades lectoras: dislexia y Rise-Time

Abstract

Existen numerosos estudios que investigan las dificultades lectoras, proponiéndose multitud de teorías en relación a una de las dificultades más destacadas, la dislexia. En este trabajo se ha intentado realizar un breve resumen de este concepto. En primer lugar, se comienza describiendo cuales son los diferentes procesos implicados en la habilidad lectora (procesos perceptivos, léxicos, semánticos y sintácticos), con el objetivo de comprender donde puede localizarse la causa de este problema. En segundo lugar, se describe en que consiste el término “dificultades lectoras”, mencionando la más destacada y aportando información relevante sobre el concepto, su definición y su prevalencia. En tercer lugar, se hace un pequeño resumen de las teorías más mencionadas en relación a este concepto, las cuales difieren en el problema en el que centran la causa de la dislexia. Se comienza mencionando la teoría más aceptada entre los investigadores de este problema (la teoría fonológica) mencionando, posteriormente, otras relevantes (teoría magnocelular, teoría del doble déficit y teoría motora) y se concluye con una nueva teoría que ha comenzado a estudiarse en los últimos tiempos (la teoría del muestreo temporal). Finalmente, se aportan datos de evidencia empírica sobre la última teoría mencionada y se propone una intervención para llevar a cabo con niños disléxicos y aportar datos a favor o en contra de esta teoría.

Exist large studies that investigate the reading difficulties, being proposed a crowd of theories in relation to a one of the most noted difficulties, which is called dyslexia. A short summary of this concept has been done inside this work. Firstly, we start describing which are the different processes involved in this ability (perceptive, lexical, semantic and syntactic processes), the main objetive is to understand where we can find the reason of the problema. Secondly, what is the concept „reading difficulties‟, talking about the most important and adding outstanding information about the concept, its definition and prevalence. Thirdly, in a small sumary of the differents theories refer to this concept, which do not have the same point of view about the main cause of dyslexia. We start talking about the most recognized theory between the expert researchers in this area (phonological theory), and later, talking about another important theories (magnocellular theory, theory of twin deficits and motor theory) and we finish with a new one, that has started to be studied since the last years (temporal sampling theory). Finally, we contribute with information about empirical evidences concerning the last theory mentioned and we propose an intervetion to implement with dyslexic child and contribute with evidences for and against this theory.
