The aim of this work is to raise awareness about the importance of the use of sign language and other resources for communication with deaf and deafblind people at a social and educational level. The first part shows the conceptual evolution, classification and guidelines for a better interaction with people who present these diversities. Through the exchange between professionals, and personal experience, the barriers are shown that, although they go unnoticed by society, they have been magnified due to preventive measures during the pandemic. The second part proposes a didactic projection through a Didactic Unit focused on the module called Context of communicative mediation with deafblind people, belonging to the Higher Degree Training Cycle in Communicative Mediation, which would be developed during the 2022/23 academic year. With this, it is intended that the students assimilate the theoretical-practical contents of the unit, delve into them putting into practice.
