El desarrollo del estado de bienestar en España

Abstract

[ES]¿Cómo ha sido el desarrollo del Estado de Bienestar en España? Dadas las contingencias de esta etapa de profunda crisis económica y social, podemos comprobar con más seguridad que la diferencia entre nuestros sistemas de protección social y políticas sociales son mucho más vulnerables y limitadas que las del resto de nuestros vecinos europeos. ¿A qué se debe estas insuficiencias? ¿Hemos conseguido asentar las bases del Estado de Bienestar en nuestro país de forma exitosa? En este trabajo intentaremos responder a estas hipótesis a través de una revisión histórica y un análisis crítico del contexto español, desde los comienzos por el interés de la cuestión social hasta nuestros días, focalizándonos en cómo ha sido el proceso de la consolidación del Estado de Bienestar, mostrando las carencias de su desarrollo y las influencias de las coyunturas económicas y políticas de las diferentes etapas, que lejos de mejorar, han ido deteriorándolo.

[EN]How has the development of the welfare state in Spain? Given the contingencies of this period of profound economic and social crisis, we can see more safely than the difference between our social protection systems and social policies are much more vulnerable and limited than the rest of our European neighbors. What these shortcomings is that? Have we succeeded in settle the bases of the welfare state in our country successfully? This work attempts to answer these hypotheses through a historical review and a critic of the Spanish context analysis, from the beginning in the interest of the social question until today, focusing

on how it has been the process of consolidation of the welfare state showing the shortcomings of development and influences of economic policies and the different stages that far from improving, have been deteriorating it.
