EL TRABAJO SOCIAL COMO MECANISMO DE CONTROL EN EL SISTEMA PENITENCIARIO: EL PROGRAMA INDIVIDUALIZADO DE TRATAMIENTO (PIT)

Abstract

Este trabajo trata sobre el Programa Individualizado de Tratamiento Penitenciario (PIT). Este programa debe contener las actividades necesarias que preparen a los penados que se encuentran en los establecimientos penitenciarios para su vida en libertad y evitar su reincidencia. En los últimos años, está siendo más visible otros tipos de delitos distintos a los habituales como puede ser la corrupción, esto ha supuesto que la preocupación de la sociedad respecto a estos delitos haya aumentado. Es necesario que el Programa Individualizado de Tratamiento se adapte a todo tipo delitos, además debe adaptarse a todas las personas. Existen una serie de irregularidades en el sistema penitenciario que evitan que esto sea real, estas serán reflejadas en el trabajo. En cuanto a los profesionales de prisión, el trabajador social es un profesional fundamental dentro del centro penitenciario y su función es esencial para el Programa Individualizado de Tratamiento.

This work is about The Individualized Program of Penitentiary Treatment. This program must contain the necessary activities than prepare punishable people who are in prison to their free life and avoid their recidivism. In recent years, others types of crimes different to the usual crimes such as the corruption are being more visibles. It´s necessary that The Individualized Program of Penitentiary Treatment adaps to all types of crimes and all people, as well low-class people than have education scarcity as high class people. There are irregularities in the penitentiary system that impede that this be real, these reflection at this work. Regarding prison professionals, the social worker is a fundamental professional in the penitentiary center and his role is essential to The Individualized Program of Penitentiary Treatment.
