Bienestar animal. Control oficial en la cadena alimentaria.

Abstract

El Bienestar animal es de gran importancia y, el aumento de la concienciación a nivel social sobre este tema ha favorecido que los organismos nacionales e internacionales se impliquen en garantizar su cumplimiento y regulación. Todo esto ha ocurrido recientemente, ya que, se puede considerar que la historia del bienestar animal y, por tanto, la legislación sobre ello, es relativamente corta. En Andalucía, para garantizar el bienestar animal existe el Programa de control oficial de bienestar animal en mataderos de Andalucía, detallado en este trabajo, junto a los demás planes de supervisión e inspección principales y la memoria de las visitas realizadas en el Distrito Sanitario de Jaén durante las prácticas realizadas.

The Animal welfare is of a great importance and the increasing social awareness about this topic has favoured the implication of the national and international organism in its regulation and compliance. All of this is quite recent since it can be considered that the history of animal welfare and, therefore, its legislation is relatively short in time. In Andalusia, to guarantee the animal welfare the program Programa de control oficial de bienestar animal en mataderos de Andalucía has been created. This program is detailed within this study, all together with the others plans of inspection and supervision and the memory of the visits done in the Jaén Health System during the internship.
