This review is focused on two directions. First, we want to state that the art isn´t only a discipline of the intellectual world and it is demonstrated with the origin of Art Brut. On the other hand, we intend to prove the connection between art and psychology and it gave rise to the art therapy. To achieve these purposes, we use the book“Bildnerei der Geisteskranken”(1922) of the famous psychiatrist and art historian Hans Prinzhorn. The book had an important influence on society of S.XX, because it produced to change of perspective: a change in the treatments used with mental patients and in the art concept, since his book was the beginning of art therapy and it recognized the creative and innovative works of this marginal artists.
