The economic organisation of a society plays a decisive role in satisfying the vital needs of the population. Under it, the conditions of access to production, commercialisation, distribution and, finally, consumption are established as part of a mechanism in which everyone participates, so that the economic sector itself, and that these processes are accessible, becomes a sector of interest for social work. In order to influence it, social work finds in alternative ways of conceiving the economy, such as the social and solidarity economy, a transforming tool that can inoculate other forms of social, economic and environmental procedures in the conventional markets, which will be institutionally driven by the transnational agreements and treaties to which all countries have subscribed for the next decade, which is a great opportunity for social development.
